Weather Forecast For September 10, 2024

Written By Andrew Ditch Written on: September 10, 2024 9:30 PM EDT Updated: 10:15 PM EDT

Website Updates

National Weather News

Today I will be working on weather forecast to help me keep busy while I wait for services. I will be redoing my template for my website and content defaults.

Something new!

1. What location will I be forecasting?
I will be forecasting every week on a regular basis. Each Sunday I will have a detailed forecast. Each forecast location is randomly picked from 3 different zones in the lower 48 states of the United States. The zones will be Eastern, Central, and Western. I will split each zone into North, Central, South to make these random choices easier.

2. How I choose my location I will forecast?
Each week I will choose one location from each zone that big weather events could impact. Each Sunday I will make a weekly forecast from Monday to Friday with each location.

Each day I will try to make a forecast for 2 of these locations. Each forecast will be for the next 5 days.

Each Wednesday or Thursday, I will make a forecast for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the same locations.

3. How I will choose my locations?
Every week I will choose 1 city from 9 different zones from the lower 48 states. Big weather events is how I will choose a location.

December through March
I will focus my choices on big snow storms, artic intrusion, severe weather, and other big events.

April through June
I will focus my choices on big rain/snow storms, colder weather, hotter weather, and severe weather.

July through August
I will focuse my choices on extreme heat, tropical weather, and severe weather.

September through November
I will focus on big snows, wind events, cold weather, hotter weather, tropical weather, and severe weather.

Any time a big out of season weather event, I will try to make every attempt to make additional daily forecast including updates on severe weather.

4. Seasonal forecast
On the last Monday of each moth I will make a forecast for 3 to 6 months outlook for temperature, precipitation, and typical expected weather.

5. Short Term Forecast
Every Saturday I will make a 6 to 8 day temperature, precipitation, and expected weather forecast. I will make a 10 to 14 day outlook.

6. Each forecast I will have current national temperature, precipitation, and overnight and next day high low and weather. I will have severe weather by the storm predictions center and national hurricane center outlooks. I will have my daily forecast for at least 1 location. I will attempt to make additional forecast if severe weather events. This is if my daily schedule has enough time to make these forecast. On days I can't spend time making my own forecast, I will try to use a forecast Written by the National Weather Service for the location I choose. I will be spending time reviewing models and weather to make my own weather forecast and keep updated on trends even on days I don't make a forecast or publish online.

I have somewhat stable living environment. I have a lot of free time. I have autism and intellectual disability that I need a group home placement. This makes my life challenging and I need help with planning my day and following a structured life. This is my special interests. I do not have my computer at this time and this will make it harder for me to make video forecast, however I can make written forecast and use screen readers to speak my forecast videos. I plan on using voice generator devices including augmentative alternative communication device to make my forecast easily understood for my viewers. This will also add a unique experience to my viewers and to help advocate for disabled people can do anything they want including broadcast and news reporting regardless of able to speak or use Assistive Technology such as AAC. My hope is to make an inclusive life for all disabled people and bring hope to people who wouldn't have these opportunities.
