Big Rain Maker For Much of End of September 2016

The Great Lakes and Northeast Could Get A Soaking!

Big time scattered rain showers with some thunderstorms possible. We are not expecting severe weather, but some localized small hail and gusty winds cannot be ruled out. We do anticipate a soaking for the great lakes region.

Only going off the GFS Model!

I am only going off the GFS Model, and I realize this isnt good forecasting just by going off one model run and based on models only. But I only have one web site at this time from weather.cod.edu I am going to do some more details on a later forecast.

Below is a GFS Run from September 27, 2016 at 7 PM EDT.

If you click on the images above to enlarge them, you can see a 940 MB Low Pressure possibly hurricane about to make land fall in North Carolina on October 6, 2016. It is too early to tell if this is the spot of land fall and way too early to detect how strong this system will become.

5 Day National Hurricane Center Outlook

The NWS NHC 5 Day Outlook for the Atlantic shows an area of concern for Caribbean Sea, and has no other outlooks. This system is not connected with the System I am looking at.

Future Updates

If this does materializes, we will have an update on October 3, 2016. Stay Tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or your favorite TV Source for Urgent Real Time Weather Conditions. You may also like to consider downloading The Weather Channel App for iPhone and Android Devices.
